SUMMER LINE Greifswald – Seebad Lubmin

SUMMER LINE Greifswald – Seebad Lubmin 2026

11 July – 23 August 2026

Greifswald and the seaside resort of Lubmin are just 30 minutes apart – and from this summer, a direct train service will once again link the two. The RB29 summer line runs several times a day between Greifswald Central Station and the seaside resort of Lubmin every weekend during the summer holidays in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Whether it’s a city break or a day at the beach: just hop on board.

Two places. Endless possibilities.

The Seebad Lubmin is the only one on the Greifswald Bodden – peaceful, family-friendly and just a 30-minute drive from Greifswald. A sandy beach, sea air and a pier await you right outside the station.

The Pier

Stretching 350 metres into the Bodden – from its tip, the view stretches all the way to the island of Rügen. Lubmin’s landmark is the first place to visit upon arrival.

The beach

Fünf Kilometer feiner Sand, flaches Boddenwasser, gesunde Seeluft.

For families

An adventure playground on the seafront promenade, an 18-hole mini-golf course and, in July, a sandcastle-building competition on the beach: there’s always something for children to do in Lubmin.

Further information about the seaside resort of Lubmin is available directly from the resort administration.

St Nicholas Cathedral

The ‘Tall St Nicholas’ towers above the rooftops of the Hanseatic city and is visible from afar – a landmark, the church where Caspar David Friedrich was baptised, and the finest example of Brick Gothic architecture in the region.

The Museum Harbour

Ruins of Eldena Abbey

Founded in 1199, painted by Caspar David Friedrich, and still open to the public today. In July, music echoes through the ancient brick walls here during the Eldena Jazz Evenings.

Further information about the Hanseatic city of Greifswald is available directly from the Stadtinformation in Greifswald.
