Its purpose is to expand public transport services and, in particular, to increase the public transport offering in rural areas.  The aim was to close gaps in the network with bus and rail services.  More expansion, more service and a wide reach with the bus network.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-tertiary-background-color has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);padding-bottom:0\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>Mobility Campaign objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>More rail infrastructure expansion,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>increased rail transport timetable offering with clear structure and frequent service,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>together with the districts and the transport companies, we are building a dense network,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>we secure the last mile with the state-wide MV dial-a-bus.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-base-background-color has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40)\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>Expanding rail infrastructure<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Before the Mobility Campaign, the starting point for rail transport was generally a two-hourly service. The idea is to create a high-quality cross-regional transport service by expanding rail transport infrastructure. In the medium term, future service expansions should be available on an hourly basis on all main axes of the state transport network and a minimum of every two hours on its secondary axes. The plan is also for operating times to be extended, including at weekends and in season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer is-style-util-desktop-only\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mvfaehrtgut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/MV-faehrt-gut-Mobilitaetsoffensive-Ausgangslage.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4399\" style=\"object-fit:cover\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-base-background-color has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--70);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80)\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>Rail timetable expansion&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We are setting the course for a rail timetable offering with a clear structure and frequent service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In future, on working days, the main axes should operate an hourly service at a minimum. Trains should run every two hours at a minimum on secondary axes and connections to Regiobus MV services should be created at rail stations. The plan will be implemented in several stages. Additional resources, such as vehicles and personnel, must be obtained.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer is-style-default\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mvfaehrtgut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/MV-faehrt-gut-Mobilitaetsoffensive-Saeule1.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4401\" style=\"object-fit:cover\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>High-quality regular services across the region<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim is to create high-quality regular services across the region with a state-wide Regiobus system, run using modern low-floor buses. The cross-district Regiobus lines are implemented on important transport axes in the state, with consistent quality standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These operate regularly on an hourly basis or every two hours, unaffected by school and holiday periods. The Regiobus line service is being expanded, particularly at weekends and outside traditional peak times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Buses generally operate Monday-Saturday between 5 AM and 10 PM and on Sundays and public holidays between 8 AM and 8 PM. The Regiobus lines are also linked to rail transport to create a dense transport network for all of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mvfaehrtgut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/VMV_26_Mo_SPNV_Zielnetz_mit_Text_260109.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mvfaehrtgut.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/MV-faehrt-gut-Mobilitaetsoffensive-Saeule2.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4402\" style=\"object-fit:cover\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-base-background-color has-background has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80)\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong><strong>Reaching the last mile with the MV dial-a-bus&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>With MV dial-a-bus services financially supported by the state, we are connecting a dense network for all of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Currently, the aim is to use minibuses to close existing gaps in network coverage in rural areas. Corresponding vehicle and staff resources shall be created for this purpose, working together with the districts and transport companies.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, as for the Regiobus MV services, authority responsibility remains with the districts.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">More public transport for all of MV,&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>particularly in rural areas and tourist destinations:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>More trains and more buses,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>more routes,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>more frequent services&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>interconnection of bus and rail,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enabling participation,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>attractive ticket offers,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>digital timetable information with
